Specifically, they aimed to:

The Solution

We customized “Great Scott!”—a proven, time-travel themed team building game—by creating a unique future decade dedicated entirely to ADP’s priorities and goals. This allowed participants to experience a known, enjoyable format while interacting with new, company-specific content:

  • Established Fun + Future Focus: Great Scott! normally takes teams on a journey through multiple decades (80s, 90s, 00s, 10s), solving thematic puzzles and challenges. By adding a custom future decade we integrated ADP’s key messaging into an already engaging structure.

  • Flexible and Inclusive Participation: Teams could play together in person or virtually using our web-based platform. This ensured that remote, hybrid, and on-site groups could all take part simultaneously.

  • Social Responsibility at the Core: One of the challenges required teams to discuss various charitable options and jointly choose a cause to support. This facilitated meaningful conversations around corporate values, purpose, and community impact.

  • Custom Video Introduction: A personalized video from ADP’s leaders (along with our host) set the energetic, future-focused tone.
  • Scalable Scheduling: Over six weeks, local managers picked a convenient one-hour slot, and our browser-based platform supported both in-person and remote teams.
  • Group Play Mechanics: Teams collaborated, discussed their reasoning, solved puzzles tied to ADP’s vision, and selected a charity—deepening alignment with the company’s values.
